Testimonials:

The CD is brilliant, the work is thorough, the intent is clear. Any parent out there who has a child in school would do well to grab a copy and learn a thing or two more about effective parenting. It's amazing how through this CD, new vistas of a symbiotic process of teaching and learning are opened up even through the channels of what would otherwise be "normal and daily activities" in any household. The approach is refreshing and challenging, and the ideas clothed in an all encompassing presentation which inspires the audience to pick "up and go," take charge of not only their children's lives, but their involvement in these lives. The CD excites the imagination of the audience to the point where the parent understands not only how, but why he or she is the primary teacher and the more effective one. This is a work of stunning clarity and directness; an effective work in the process and methodology of teaching a child through care, guidance and proven techniques. It is one that is channeled to the parent who wants to teach and who in turn wants to learn in order to become a better teacher to the child, and a great assistant to the formal instructor. The one question that everyone is sure to ask is: how come this CD did not come any sooner?

Dr. Sandrock is very systematic and intelligent in her presentation on the challenge of bridging the achievement gap that exists between Caucasian and minority students nationwide. Vocally, she is clear, specific, and to the point. Her years of experience as an educator qualify her to recommended the School Cultural Awareness Training that would be a useful standard for school, family, and concerned community members to employ with students of the educational system.

This is a "must-have" CD that could not have arrived on the educational scene at a more appropriate time when many educators are leaving the field due to burn-out and frustration. Dr. Sandrock's life experiences, and specifically, her years spent as a teacher and administrator, enable her to present a balanced perspective concerning effective strategies in interacting with, and helping minority students achieve academically. As an educator, I have participated in numerous seminars on educating our youths, but none could be compared to information I have learned from this seminar on "Bridging The Achievement Gap And Keeping It Closed". After listening to this CD, I feel invigorated and even more empowered that I am equipped with additional skills in helping minority students.

To:

Parents, Educational Administrators: Superintendents, Principals, Assistant Principals/ Chair Persons, Teachers & all else involved and, or, are concerned about closing the "Achievement Gap" - between successful and at risk students.

The "achievement gap" referenced above is, unquestionably, a major challenge to our educational system.

  • It characterizes the educational systems throughout our nation.
  • It begs the question of educational equity.
  • It cries out for serious, persistent and caring dedication from all constituencies involved.

Beyond that, it is a social, political, and economic anchor that retards the progress of Minority students specifically and America in general. This "legacy"(?) of underachievement need not continue.

The scholarly, yet, user friendly, learning "experiences" offered by Dr. Tsahai London Sandrock(Ph.D.), objectively, promises to do just that. This is precisely why it gives me distinct intellectual pleasure in recommending Dr. London Sandrock's work to ALL constituencies whose passion for achievement in education includes the maximal achievement of ALL our kids: No child should be "left behind".

My recommendation of Dr. London Sandrock's is not based solely on the scholarship that is so manifest in her work: More importantly, perhaps, it is elicited by my personal and professional knowledge of "Dr. Tsahai" as a person of moral and professional integrity who would frown at the mediocre and challenge the charlatan. These are qualities that, I am sure, will intrinsically pervade her efforts at a Herculean task: "Closing the...Achievement Gap": She deserves your confidence. My confidence in her is without reservation.
